Hourglass International Introduces Cirrus800 White Nitrile Exam Gloves
Houston, TX (PRWEB) April 24, 2013 — Hourglass International, Inc., a direct importer and redistributor of HandPRO™ brand gloves for the dental, medical, industrial, cleanroom and food safety industries, is pleased to introduce a new product, Cirrus800™ White Nitrile Exam Gloves in high-count packaging.
Cirrus800 White Nitrile Exam Gloves combine soft, cloud-like comfort with strength and durability. The gloves are finger textured for a secure grip, and the thin-modulus nitrile material ensures excellent tactile sensitivity. Cirrus800 is powder-free and is not made with natural rubber latex, reducing the risk of Type I latex allergy. The clean, cloud-white color is gender-neutral and projects a professional image, making it an easy choice for all members of dental and medical teams.
Cirrus800 is packaged 200 gloves per box, double the industry standard of 100 gloves per box. The new highcount packaging saves valuable shelf space, reduces re-order frequency, and eliminates packaging waste by 50 percent.
“Cirrus800 is our first glove in advanced packaging. This high-count packaging design reduces costs, and more importantly it reduces the strain on the environment,” says company President, Stephen J. Atwood. “The glove’s nitrile material has the same comfortable feel we all loved about latex. We are proud to present this new glove, and we hope everyone will be just as excited about it as we are.”
This new examination glove is available in five sizes from extra-small to extra-large. The reorder numbers are 800 (extra-small,) 801 (small,) 802 (medium,) 803 (large,) and 804 (extra-large.) Sample packs of Cirrus800 can be requested online at www.hourglass-intl.com/cirrus800-white-nitrile-exam-gloves/ or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Hourglass Industries, Inc. is Now Hourglass International, Inc.
Houston, TX (PRWEB) February 28, 2013 — Hourglass Industries, Inc., a direct importer and redistributor of HandPRO brand exam gloves and disposable nitrile, latex and vinyl gloves for the dental, medical, industrial, cleanroom and food safety industries, today announced the move of their distribution center to California and a new company name, Hourglass International, Inc.
Relocating warehousing operations from Colorado Springs, CO to just north of the Port of Oakland, CA, will reduce the lead times for receiving product from the factory in Malaysia. The company will be able to fulfill and ship orders more quickly, meeting the growing demand for JIT delivery. Moving operations to this new location will also allow the company to take advantage of freight efficiencies, and help mitigate rising manufacturing costs and stay competitive.
In addition to changing the warehouse location, the company has adopted a new name, Hourglass International, Inc. “The new name reflects our growth and global relationships with manufacturing and distribution partners,” says Stephen J. Atwood, who remains President of the newly reorganized company. “The result of months of negotiations with our manufacturing partners is that we are now able to offer the highest levels of service in order to assist our customers’ growing needs.”
The location and name change enable Hourglass to better care for its existing business and positions it for future growth. The company’s HandPRO brand of nitrile, latex and vinyl gloves are sold throughout the U.S., South & Central America, Israel and Europe. They have recently expanded their product portfolio to include face masks for the cleanroom and non-medical production markets. New exam gloves and nitrile gloves are planned this year for the dental, medical and cleanroom markets, including two new gloves specifically designed for the critical requirements of the USP787 market.

New Nitrile Glove Lowers Risk of Dermatitis
October 5, 2010
Hourglass Industries, Inc., a direct importer and redistributor of high quality protective gloves, introduces the new Aspen2100AF accelerant free powder-free nitrile glove with low dermatitis potential.
Health care workers depend on gloves to keep them safe from bloodborne pathogens. But gloves can cause skin irritation or allergy in the health care worker as well as the patient. Due to increased latex sensitivity and allergy to natural rubber latex, many health care facilities have moved to non-latex glove options, including nitrile gloves.
However, because of the chemical additives used during the manufacturing process, even nitrile gloves can cause irritant contact dermatitis as well as the more serious Type IV chemical allergy. According to ASTM International, residual accelerator chemicals in medical gloves appear to be the leading cause of allergic contact dermatitis in health care workers.
Aspen2100AF is created from a new nitrile glove formulation that is free of these chemical accelerators, and carries the FDA claim of Low Dermatitis Potential. “It is the purity of the nitrile used in the Aspen2100AF that brings us to this new chapter in hand protection,” says Stephen Atwood, President of Hourglass Industries, Inc.
Aspen2100AF is accelerant free with low dermatitis potential, giving health care workers a new nitrile glove choice with fewer chemicals. The glove is available in sizes extra-small to extra-large, and has been tested and approved for use with chemotherapy drugs. Samples can be requested at www.hourglassindustries.com or by emailing email@example.com.
